Program: MS in Behavior Analysis from the Department of Behavior Analysis (2005–2020)
Accreditation Status: Accredited through December 31, 2020
Summary of Accreditation Board's Decision: The program was re-accredited in 2015, for five years, based on the professional judgement of the ABAI Executive Council upon recommendation from the Behavior Analysis Accreditation Board that all accreditation standards were met with no serious deficiencies. The program may re-apply for accreditation under the ABAI Accreditation Board in 2020.

Program Mission: Simmons's innovative behavior analysis programs respond to a national/international need for Board Certified Behavior Analysts, educators, and counselors with formal training in behavioral principles and graduate programs that focus on the applications of behavior analysis. This program covers the methods, principles, and procedures of applied behavior analysis with an emphasis on using behavior analysis and behavioral support in multiple education and human service settings. The master's-level course sequence is approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and meets the coursework requirements for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst examination. Coursework includes topics such as behavioral assessment, descriptive analysis, demonstration of functional relations, measurement and intervention tactics, data display and interpretation, selection of target behaviors and goals, family issues, legal and ethical issues, and crisis management.
This program includes an ABAI Verified Course Sequence for BACB examination applications.
